Daniel & Kath

Hi all,

My name is Daniel and my wife is Kath.

We connected on Christian Connection in September 2021 and met soon after. It was clear to both of us that we loved each other's company, shared similar biblical values and wanted to create something special together in life.

In March/April 2022, Kath, being Filipino, asked me if I'd like to join her in visiting the Philippines in the November. I agree to join her and meet Kath's family.

Several months later, knowing how important and pivotal going to the Philippines world be, I asked Kath about marriage and whether she would consider it. Kath did consider marriage and, a couple of months later before we went, she agreed to marry me.

November came around, we visited the Philippines and had the most awesome and wonderful time; meeting Kath's family and joining them in various celebrations and everyday family life. Also, I asked Kath's Father for her hand in marriage and he gave his blessing - I formally proposed to Kath, with a ring etc, in December 2022 in London by London Bridge (a special place where we first met and continuously visited since).

We got married in February 2024 in Northamptonshire. We were so privileged and blessed that several members of Kath's family travelled from Canada, America and the Philippines to attend the wedding. It was the most beautiful and wonderful day. God blessed us beyond what any of us truly deserve. We are grateful for his love, compassion and goodness!

Kath and I moved in together and, ever since, we've been working, travelling, spending time with family (UK and abroad) and thoroughly enjoying holy matrimony.

There has been some extremely low moments in our relationship/marriage too. Sadly my Grandparents died and my Dad was diagnosed and treated for thyroid cancer. We're very blessed that God's healing hand has been over our Dad and he's alive today (albeit with slow growths and well-managed detections and treatments).

It's fair to say that Christian Connection played a huge part in our story. Even today, Kath regularly reminds me that she sent a message to me first! And for that I'm truly thankful to everyone at Christian Connection and the wonderful community that it's brought together.

God loves us all so deeply and, Kath and I believe, that in the creation story is marriage - God's blueprint/design that we are made for connection, worship and honouring him who loved us first. We are so grateful to Christian Connection and everyone who has encouraged us in faith and in love.
