Meetups Terms & Conditions

Free social events run by and for members of Christian Connection.

  1. Meetup organisers must be full members, or former full members, of Christian Connection.
  2. All meetups will be moderated and will appear on the site once approved.
  3. Unless agreed directly with Christian Connection, all meetups must be organised and run on a voluntary, unpaid basis. Any charges for ticketed events such as cinema or concerts must be made clear in the text. The only exception to this is for meetups run in partnership with Christian Connection. These will be pre-agreed and approved by Christian Connection.
  4. Meetups will be promoted on the Christian Connection website, in our 'weekly review' emails, and may also be promoted outside Christian Connection, for example on Events for Christians or Single Friendly Church.
  5. Meetups must be posted no later than one week prior to the event date.
  6. If a meetup is cancelled, all attendees will be notified by email. Once an meetup has been cancelled it cannot be reinstated.
  7. Organisers must respect the proprietary rights of Christian Connection over its database and must not appropriate this in any way to run meetups on their own account, unless specifically authorised. Equally they must not pass on any private details of members to any other individual or organisation, unless they have both the written agreement of the individual concerned and of Christian Connection.
  8. For reasons of safety and security, meetups must be held in public places, such as a pub, a hotel or public park, or an established footpath. The meetup location must be clearly and openly stated. Meetups cannot be held in members homes or other private venues without pre-approval from Christian Connection.
  9. Meetups should be for members 18 or over. Christian Connection does not accept any liability for meetups at which children are in attendance.
  10. If complaints are received about a member run meetup, Christian Connection may refuse to authorise future meetups by that organiser, or may terminate their membership.

  11. Please note that meetups are run by members of Christian Connection for members of Christian Connection. Meetups should not be created solely to promote a professional event or organisation. Any meetups held at an event such as a festival or concert must include a meeting place and time for the organiser to meet their group.
  12. There will be a limit of one meetup a fortnight per member, unless there is prior agreement from Christian Connection.
  13. Do not include any private email addresses or others contact details including website addresses unless it is for the venue specifically or a link to a map.
  14. Please do not use this service to promote a separate organization. The service is simply promote specific meetups.

Online Meetups Terms & Conditions

  3. Unless agreed directly with Christian Connection, all online meetups must be organised and run on a voluntary, unpaid basis.
  4. Online Meetups will be promoted on the Christian Connection website, in our 'weekly review' emails, and may also be promoted outside Christian Connection, for example on Events for Christians or Single Friendly Church.
  5. Online Meetups must be posted no later than 3 days prior to the event date.

  8. Please be aware when using third party software such as Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp and others, that your personal information may be visible to others. This may include, but not be limited to, your full name, email address and phone number.
  9. Online Meetup participants are responsible for their own security and privacy. Christian Connection or Widernet Communications Ltd. takes no responsibility for your loss of data when using third-party apps.
  10. Online Meetups should be for members 18 or over.
