Elizabeth & Pieter

My name is Pieter. I think I joined CC in 2019. I can't remember. I met Elizabeth in January 2020. I sent her a wave (not sure if that's still a feature) and very quickly we sent messages back and forth for about 3 months or so. We arranged to go on a date, on a Friday night at a bowling alley in London. It was very noisy, we could barely talk. We ate and decided to go for a walk in London. We had a great evening. Discussing church, God, politics, children, all the light hearted subjects lol.

We went home and Elizabeth sent me a message. A very strange message lol She basically assumed that I wouldn't want to see her again and that she understood if that was our only date and that although she had fun, she would understand.

I simply replied with ,"I had a lot of fun, when's the next date!?" Completely ignoring her insecurities. Our second date was a long walk in the west Sussex county side. We got horribly lost lol. But we talked and talked like there was no tomorrow.

That evening, saying goodbye she asked me very directly what I wanted. My response was that I would like to be in a relationship with her, possibly to get married. The rest is history. We had many more dates.

In August of 2020, we were married. A very small Covid wedding , with only 30 people. But it was a beautiful day. Not long after, we fell pregnant with our son Malachai. We attend a small Church of England church, where I am a lay preacher and Elizabeth does the children's church. I am a Commercial gas engineer and Elizabeth is a psychotherapist.
